How Alderlyn Started

Alderlyn wasn't born from a single lightbulb moment. It happened gradually after years of working hands-on with home goods, bedding, blankets, towels, candles, and products from dozens of different brands.

Through my business, I've been fortunate enough to handle and inspect products from some of the most recognizable names in the industry. When you spend years opening boxes, quality-checking products, listening to customer feedback, and seeing what holds up over time, you start noticing patterns.

There were things I loved about one brand, things I loved about another, and things I wished existed that I couldn't find anywhere. One company might make beautiful bedding but overlook the packaging. Another might have a great blanket but disappointing quality control. Some had beautiful branding but products that didn't justify the price. Others had products I loved but offered very little variety in colors, scents, or styles.

As I spent more time in the industry, I realized there was a gap between what I wanted as a customer and what was available. I wanted a place where quality wasn't inconsistent. I wanted products that felt intentional. I wanted bedding, blankets, candles, and home goods that could exist together without having to shop from five different websites.

Alderlyn became the answer to all of those years of observations. It wasn't created because I thought the world needed another home brand. It was created because after touching, testing, selling, and studying so many products, I had a very clear vision of what I wanted my own home to feel like—and I knew I wasn't the only one looking for it.

About Kori

Before I'm anything else, I'm a wife and a mom.

My children are the center of my world and the reason behind every risk I've taken, every long day, and every business I've built. My husband has spent years cheering me on from the sidelines, encouraging me to dream bigger and push further than I ever thought possible.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and while life eventually took me elsewhere, that landscape never really left me. The deep forests, overcast mornings, quiet lakes, and slower pace still feel like home in a way that's hard to explain. Many of my happiest memories live there, and that influence finds its way into almost everything I create.

I love wild animals—especially raccoons—and I've always been drawn to the imperfect, curious, and often overlooked things in life. I think that's part of why Alderlyn feels so personal. It's not about creating a perfect home. It's about creating a home that feels lived in, loved, and uniquely yours.

I care deeply about quality, but not in a luxury-for-the-sake-of-luxury way. I believe the things you bring into your home should last. They should become part of your routines, your memories, and your everyday life. A blanket should be the one you reach for year after year. A set of sheets should get softer with time. A candle should remind you of a place or a season you never want to forget.

At the heart of everything I do is the belief that home should be a sanctuary—not a showroom. A place where life happens. A place where people gather. A place that feels like you.
